Vidalista 20, which contains tadalafil, is a medication commonly used to treat erectile dysfunction. Vidalista 20mg works by increasing blood flow to the penis through the inhibition of phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5). However, one of the potential side effects of tadalafil, as with other PDE5 inhibitors, is the risk of vision issues, particularly in rare cases.
This is due to the drug's ability to affect other PDE enzymes, including PDE6, which is involved in retinal function. Disrupting PDE6 can lead to visual disturbances such as blurred vision, color vision changes, or even more severe conditions like non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION). Although these side effects are uncommon, they highlight the need for caution in patients with a history of eye problems or those at risk for certain eye conditions.
